any tips on how to eat more healthy? I'm so inspired by you but can't seem to stop from craving and giving into junk food and over snacking!

  • Start cooking or planning what you’re going to be eating before you’re starving. This will cause you to not scarf all the heavy foods down, also will lead to craving less snacks and dense carb loaded foods as you’re cooking.
  • Instead of trying to remove specific things from your diet, try to add healthier things, soon you’ll start to weed out the unhealthy things.
  • Snack! You won’t be as hungry going into a meal and won’t eat more than you need. Some ideas: apple or banana and almond butter, nuts, snap peas, quinoa or chia seed chips, smoothie, carrots and ranch.
  • When snacking, don’t bring the whole bag to where you are, put a little bit in a bowl, this will get rid of mindless snacking! If you want more once you are done just get up and refill your bowl.
  • WATER WATER WATER, drink more than you think you need! My mom always told me if you aren’t annoyed with how frequently you have to pee, then you aren’t drinking enough water.
  • Green tea will energize you and make you feel much better! (also increases metabolism rate)
  • Try healthier desserts, there are so many things that will get rid of that sweet craving, try berries with a bit of sugar and half and half, or a smoothie, or some dark chocolate
  • Don’t be afraid of carbs! Start buying whole wheat bread and pasta instead of white.
  • If you don’t have much time in the mornings to prepare a big meal oatmeal is the secret! It’s fast and you can add so many things to it such as: chia seeds, cut peaches, hemp seeds, dried berries, or granola and milk.
  • You can add spinach or kale to so many things! Put a bed of it under your pasta, add it to your smoothie, stick it inside your sandwich.
  • Eat a big breakfast, it will make it so you aren’t as hungry later in the day
  • instead of feeling bad about yourself if you eat an unhealthy meal, try to reward yourself when you go a day of healthy meals! Also don’t be afraid to treat yourself everyone in a while, don’t expect everything you eat to be perfectly healthy.
  • Notice how much better you feel after you have eaten a healthy meal! You should feel more energized and happier, remember that next time you are hungry

like you can be sitting in your kitchen at 2am eating pasta sauce out of a jar with a spoon and the only thing you think is “this is really tasty i wonder what it would be like spread on toast”

or going into the library and seeing someone sat at a computer wrapped in a duvet and thinking “that’s a genius idea”

or seeing someone sitting in a lecture with a 2 pint bottle of milk just swigging from it and just being jealous

literally anything goes. no one is gonna question your habits bc guaranteed they will have done something equally bizarre
